[ Last nights gig at Newcastle Uni 23/1/01 ]
If you have ever heard JJ72 play live then you have been very lucky indeed. When you hear recordings of their songs it is nothing to what they are like on stage. Marks vocals are amazing, Fergal, too my amazement, was also playing the drums so his ankle must have recoverd very well, Hilary was even nicer than she is in photographs and it was great!
[ News about Fergals ankle 22/1/01 ]
During their rehersals for last nights gig Fergal Matthews, the drummer, badly twisted his ankle which has put him out of performing at the Carling NME Awards tour for about a week. Mark had to sing solo as he was the only one at the gig but all went well for him and the fans were pleased with a unique solo performance. The band have decided to introduce a stand in drummer from London while Fergal recovers and hopefully will be back soon.
